The NASCLA Contractors Guide to Business, Law and Project Management is organized into 4 sections.
Part 1 focuses on preparing you for the licensing exam. This section will help you understand licensing requirements, estimating, employee management, lien law and safety and environmental responsibilities.
Part 2 provides completion of the home improvement licensing application including fees, instructions, and sample forms.
Part 3 provides valuable information on choosing a business structure, basic management skills, insurance, and business marketing.
Part 4 presents fundamentals you will need to know in order to operate a successful construction business. This section covers business planning, scheduling, project management, and building good relationships with subcontractors, financial management, and tax basics.
Effective December 1, 2016, only this new 6th Edition will be used in the examination center.
