Angie Whitaker, Executive Director, CAE
Angie Whitaker currently serves as the National Association of State Contractors Licensing Agencies Executive Director. Angie has worked for the association since February 2003. During this time with the association she has had the opportunity to work firsthand with the NASCLA Executive Officers, Board of Directors, Committees, and Members.
NASCLA also publishes the NASCLA Contractors Guides to Business, Law and Project Management publications for over 20 state agencies for candidates that are studying for their contractor’s license along with other consumer awareness publications.
Angie graduated from Arizona State University with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication from the Hugh Downs School of Human Communications in December 1999. Angie received her Master Certificate in Business Management from Tulane University Freeman School of Business and has received her Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification through the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
Angie is active with the Federation of Associations of Regulatory Boards (FARB) and is a FARB Board Member. Angie also is a member of the Arizona Society of Association Executives (AzSAE) where she has served in many leadership capacities as the former President, Past President, Vice President and Board of Director. Also, she is a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the Council on Licensure Enforcement & Regulation (CLEAR).
Kirsten Zacharias, Program Manager
Kirsten Zacharias currently serves as NASCLA's Program Manager. Kirsten joined the NASCLA Staff in February of 2011. Her primary responsibilities are to work hand in hand with the NASCLA Program Committee to plan, execute and participate in NASCLA meetings and conferences. Kirsten also works closely with NASCLA's Executive Director to carry out association projects. In May of 2005, Kirsten graduated from Arizona State University with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication.
Jacquie Wilberscheid, Meetings & Special Projects Coordinator
Jacquie Wilberscheid currently serves as NASCLA's Meetings & Special Projects Coordinator. Jacquie joined the NASCLA Staff in April of 2013. Her primary responsibilities are to assist with the NASCLA Accredited Examination Program Committee, NASCLA Contractors Committee, NASCLA Education Committee, and NASCLA Publications Committee while focusing on Special Association Projects. In May of 2007, Jacquie graduated from Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree with an emphasis in Marketing. She also has a strong background in the Hospitality Industry, previously working as a Catering Coordinator at the Sheraton Grand Phoenix.
Christa Lombardo, Examination Coordinator
Christa Lombardo currently serves as one of NASCLA's Examination Coordinators. Christa joined the NASCLA Staff in March 2017. Her primary responsibilities are providing knowledge on the NASCLA Accredited Examination Program for Commercial General Building Contractors and the new NASCLA Accredited Electrical Examination Program to state contractors licensing candidates. Christa also works closely with NASCLA's Executive Director, Program Manager and Publications Coordinator to carry out association projects. Christa, worked for the Arizona Professional Land Surveyors Association as the Executive Director for over 13 years and has experience in Event/Meeting Planning, Client Relationships, Fundraising, Accounting, Newsletter, IT/Website, Sales, Purchasing/Contracting, Volunteer Support and much more. Christa is also a member of and has served on the board of the Arizona Society of Association Executives (AzSAE).
Catherine Peach, Administrative Assistant
Catherine Peach currently serves as NASCLA's Administrative Assistant. Catherine joined the NASCLA Staff in April of 2016. Her primary responsibilities are providing knowledge on the NASCLA Contractors Guide to Business, Law and Project Management publications to state contractors licensing candidates in addition to processing orders through the NASCLA Bookstore. Catherine also works closely with NASCLA's Executive Director, Program Manager, Publications Coordinator, and Examination Coordinator to carry out association projects. In December of 2015, Catherine graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Global Studies and a focus in Culture, Literature, Film and the Arts, as well as a Minor in Spanish.
Gwen Derse, Bookkeeper
Gwen Derse currently serves as NASCLA’s Bookkeeper. Gwen joined the NASCLA Staff in October 2003. Her primary responsibilities are to maintain the day to day accounting and associated financials for the organization. Gwen graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelors of Arts Degree and received her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Arizona.
